写実的に描かれた竹と梅「歳寒二雅（さいかんにが）」 梅の傍らには鶯（うぐいす）でしょうか、2羽の小禽の姿も見られます。 小鳥のさえずりが静寂の中をこだまするかのようです。 木箱蓋表「イマリ水指」 木箱蓋裏「天保八丁酉年　四月　松雲主人　蔵之」 天保8年（1837）の墨書が木箱に残っています。 この水指そのものの生まれは1世紀以上遡る元禄期のものでしょう。 現在は一重口に近い形状で、塗蓋が添えられているものの、当初もう少し内側に入り込んでいたであろうことが、口縁にぐるりと残る研磨痕からうかがい知れるのです。 胴には意図的なものか、ところどころに浅い窪み。 口縁の古い金繕いが風情を添えています。 ニュウがありますが、水を張って確認したところ漏れはありませんでした。 状態：全体的に貫入。口縁に研磨痕、欠けを金繕い、ニュウ 。 　　　塗蓋添、時代木箱入 高さ　17.6cm 口径　10.5cm　 胴径　13.5cm 容量　約1600ml 重さ　約950g 磁器 日本・有田 江戸時代中期　17〜18世紀 A beautiful blue and white porcelain mizusashi fresh water container, one of Japanese tea utensils used for matcha tea ceremony.
