一閑人（いっかんじん）の意匠となった、秋のうつわです。
井戸をのぞきこむかのように、笠をかぶった人形が口縁の一角に貼り付けられています。

円筒の口縁を押さえて四角形に成形した深さのある鉢で、盃洗として用いられた可能性も考えています。
側面には赤や緑や金彩による紅葉や、銹絵や青釉を用いた藤袴が描かれており、また裾部に型押しで波が表されているのは、波に紅葉の光景がイメージされているのでしょう。
なお、内側をのぞきこむ人物の視線の先には、羽を広げて飛ぶ小鳥（小禽）があります。

高台には擦れて摩耗しているものの「錦光山」の印が確認できます。

状態：口縁にうすいニュウ、ホツを漆繕い。人物の裾に極小ホツ。時代木箱入。

A charming ceramic square bowl with decoration of a figurine, called ikkanjin. Momiji maple leaves, fujibakama bonesets, and a bird are painted in underglaze iron brown, and overglaze color and gold enamels.
Letters of Kinkozan are seen on the base.
It might be made and used as a haisen cup washer.
