およそ尺三寸（約39cm）という大画面のうつわに、つばめが3か所に2羽ずつ。
背景には桜が描かれ、季節は春です。
七十二候「玄鳥至（つばめきたる）」の頃に用いられてきたのでしょう。
春の歓びが感じられるうつわです。

明治期の絵画として飾って愛でていただければ幸いです。
大きく割れて接着剤で簡易的に接がれているため、うつわとして実用の場合は繕いをおすすめします。
